PRACTICE PROFILE & ETHOS
Architecture, Interiors & Execution Grounded in Buildability
Architecture and interior design practice rooted in spatial clarity, precision, and execution rigor.
The Practice Story
Founded by Smriti Richa, Devshilpee Architects is an architecture and interior design practice based in Dwarka, New Delhi. With 5+ years of professional experience and 55+ completed projects, the studio creates spaces where refined aesthetics, functionality, vastu-aligned planning, technical clarity, and emotional connection are considered together.
Our approach is grounded in a simple truth: design should not merely look beautiful — it should work and feel meaningful to the people who inhabit it. Every project balances human lifestyle, spatial flow, vastu-sensitive planning, budget consciousness, tactile materiality, and construction feasibility.
From private residences and bespoke villas to refined apartment interiors, commercial workspaces, and comprehensive renovations, we guide clients from initial concept through detailed drawings and site handover.
By integrating architecture, interior design, and execution management under one cohesive philosophy, we eliminate the disconnect between drawings and physical reality — delivering spaces that are inspiring, functional, and built to endure.
“Beautiful enough to inspire. Functional enough to live in. Detailed enough to build.”
Great design is never an accident. It sits at the deliberate intersection of five essential parameters:
Space
Volume, daylight, sightlines, and circulation flow
Lifestyle
Shaped around human routines and everyday living
Budget
Disciplined planning and financial transparency
Material
Honest textures, longevity, and tactile richness
Execution
Millimeter precision on site from concept to handover
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
Four Pillars of Our Practice
The core tenets that govern every drawing, detail, and site decision.
Function & Spatial Flow
We plan layouts around how people genuinely live, work, and move. Every square foot is purposeful, prioritizing natural light, cross-ventilation, and seamless circulation.
Materiality & Light
We celebrate authentic materials — natural stone, warm timbers, refined metals, and tactile plasters — illuminated by thoughtful natural and architectural lighting.
Budget & Transparency
Great architecture respects financial parameters. We value value-conscious engineering, clear specification schedules, and transparent coordination.
Execution Feasibility
A design is only as strong as its site realization. We detail every connection and coordinate closely with trade specialists so what is drawn is accurately built.
